Book & Journal Covers

Leonard has illustrated numerous book & journal covers over the span of his career; including his Legend drawings which were published 2005. Following that in 2007, Author Daniel N. Paul commissioned Leonard to create imagery for his book cover to showcase on his paperback release “We Were Not the Savages”.

Paul's work has been featured in several acclaimed children’s books as the lead artist. In 2013, Leonard teamed up with William Dumas on the Children’s Book: “Pisim Finds Her Miskanow” as the sole illustrator contributing on that project. He’s been profiled in Journals and magazines with articles that highlight his artistic projects and milestone achievements. Leonard has been featured in publications such as Art Impressions and “From Land and Sea” by Dee Appleby which showcases Nova Scotia's Contemporary Landscape Artists and their work.
